The Haining, Selkirk 2016

Part of Festival of Architecture
Year of Innovation Architecture and Design 2016

Curated by Inge Panneels and funded by Creative Scotland Lottery Funding and Selkirk CARS, this exhibition brings together new works made by artists reflecting on the theme of water: glass: art: science. In collaboration with University of Sunderland, Edinburgh University, RIAS (Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland), the EAA (Edinburgh Architects Association), CABN and Scottish Borders Council.

A short artist-in-residency at the Haining from 20-22 March in 2016, brought together 34 artists to share working practices and explore the site of the Haining house and loch, making temporary, experimental artworks.

This exhibition is the result of the further collaborations, which have developed since whilst also placing the work in context of other works reflecting on similar themes.
